This Friday, the 6th of April, the Goldenplec team has organised a fantastically original charity event in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland. Their plan is to drive from Portmarnock to Achill and back, but that’s not all. They will be stopping in every county they pass through to meet a local band for tea, toast and a tune. Videos of each performance will be uploaded to Youtube, Facebook and Twitter throughout the day and it will all culminate in an event at Malahide Yacht Club on Friday night where there will be performances from over a dozen local acts including Jet Set Radio, The Statics and Light Camera Sundown.
Donations can be made here and for those generous enough to donate €5 there is also the opportunity to win a Sony Ericsson Live mobile phone (pictured below), courtesy of Meteor.
