Some people say blogging is the internet’s version of that man in the pub or that taxi driver who gives you his opinion on anything and everything whether you want it or not. Since I’ve no desire to start drinking in pubs by myself every night of my life and I’m still too lazy to get a driving licence, I think I’ll stick to the internet version, for now anyway. You may ask what makes me think my opinions are worth reading and to be honest, I can’t answer that. I write because I enjoy it, if anyone else has an opinion on what I’ve written, positive or negative, I consider that a bonus. I have written for and am currently writing for a few other websites, namely Goldenplec and Bagsy Not In and whilst I really enjoy writing for those sites, especially the former, I feel a blog of my own gives me that little bit more freedom to express myself.

Anyway, I’ve started to ramble, which is something I’ll have to reign in if I want anyone apart from my mother (Hi Mom) to actually enjoy visiting this website. I apologise for the minimalistic design, I’m working on beautifying the place as I speak. I plan on writing predominantly about music and football as they are my passions but I will occasionally delve into the dark dreary depths of politics, film & television and if you’re lucky I’ll throw a cúpla focail in as well. I support Manchester United and Shamrock Rovers, so if you think I’m being biased at any stage, get over it! I couldn’t attempt to categorise myself in terms of what music I enjoy most but I do hold a special place in my heart for the likes of Snow Patrol, Stereophonics, Delorentos and erm, The Game. I’m 23 years young, I hail from Dalkey (pictured above), I’m doing Irish Studies in Trinity and work in a Topaz Fuel Station for my sins.

Anyway (I need to think of a new way to start paragraphs), if only one person ever reads this regularly I’ll be delighted. Tomorrow I’m off to the big Dublin derby in the League of Ireland, as the Hoops take on Bohs in what looks like being one of the least competitive meeting of the two teams in years but I won’t speak too soon. I’ll be taking a few snaps and writing a report up over the weekend. Other immediate plans include reviews of Kate’s Party‘s new EP ‘Back Down’ as well as a look at one potential star of 2012 in Sorcha Richardson.
